Cultural Crawl is founded by three black creatives from Washington, D.C. with the goal to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals/groups to drink, eat and explore. The crawl travels nationwide in support of local businesses and the street art/murals surrounding them. The "Get up, get out & crawl" initiative encourages participants to take advantage of the event & explore what these neighborhoods have to offer by walking and/or biking to multiple locations. FAQs I have never attended a Cultural Crawl before, how does this work? Cultural Crawl is a self guided bar crawl that also partners with restaurants to provide food at happy hour prices. During the event participants also receive a carefully curated map of street art/murals to explore during the event. On the day of, ALL participants must pick up their wristband, complimentary souvenir cup and map at the registration venue between 2pm - 6pm. After checking in you can hang out at the registration venue or head out to explore any of the bars, restaurants and mural locations. What if I can not make it to the registration venue before 6pm? If you are unable to make it before 6pm have a friend pick up your materials for you. They must have your ticket via email or print out in order to pick up your materials. Is the event 21+? YES! The Urban Arts Show is an event series started in late 2012 in New York City by Scott Edward McDowell. Since inception UAS has experienced a great deal of success having throw over a dozen shows in New York City at various art galleries, cocktail lounges and even onboard the Jewel Yacht. The concept behind the Urban Arts Show is to pay homage to the original elements of HipHop; Graffiti writing, emceeing, Bboying, and DJing. Fashion is a part of HipHop culture as well allowing Urban Arts Show to integrate a streetwear pop up market into the event. There has been a wide range of sponsors supporting the UAS some of the more notable brand partnerships have included Redbull, Pepsi, Ciroc, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Cazal Eyewear, Hendricks Gin, Boxed Water, Casio G-Shock, Arizona Ice Tea, Reebok, Voga Wine, Sullen Clothing, Kidrobot, and many independent designers from around the world.
